Study College – Grow College & Anti-Dowry & Anti-Drug Awareness Program

1. Program Overview

In response to government directives, Gopinath PG College organized an awareness and educational initiative titled “Study College, Grow College” along with a Dowry-Free India and Drug-Free India pledge program. The initiative emphasized the importance of learning as a core duty of students and promoted a socially responsible and addiction-free youth community.

2. Key Highlights of the Program
  • A symbolic learning activity was conducted where students collectively performed reading while forming the physical outline of India’s map.
  • An oath ceremony against dowry and drugs was administered to all students and staff.
  • Principal Dr. Sudha Tripathi emphasized education as a means of intellectual maturity and nation-building.
  • NSS Program Officer Munawwar Ali and Chief Proctor Dr. Girish Chandra encouraged reading habits beyond digital dependency.
  • Students actively participated in awareness and pledge activities.

5. Conclusion

The program successfully instilled a strong sense of responsibility towards education, social reform, and addiction prevention. By integrating learning with moral values, the initiative strengthened the college’s mission to nurture informed, ethical, and socially aware citizens.
