Incubation Centre & Institution Innovation Cell (IIC)

Introduction

To cultivate an environment of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, Gopinath PG College, Salamatpur, Uttar Pradesh, has established an Incubation Centre and an Institution Innovation Cell (IIC). These bodies aim to integrate research-oriented learning with real-world problem-solving, promoting self-reliance, innovation, and employability among students and faculty. The Centre functions under the guidance of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and aligns its objectives with the Institutional Development Plan (IDP 2024–2029), along with the innovation policies of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC).

Vision & Mission

Vision: To foster an ecosystem that transforms ideas into innovation and innovation into impact, empowering students and faculty to become creative problem-solvers and entrepreneurs.

Mission:

  • • To create awareness and skill-based opportunities in innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • • To encourage idea incubation and support prototype or project development.
  • • To promote collaboration among academia, industry, and community.
  • • To integrate research, creativity, and entrepreneurship into higher education.

Objectives

  • • Encourage a culture of innovation and start-up awareness among students and faculty.
  • • Organize capacity-building workshops, hackathons, and training sessions.
  • • Facilitate mentoring and prototype support through institutional and external collaborations.
  • • Promote intellectual property (IP) literacy and responsible research practices.
  • • Support students and faculty in presenting innovative solutions for community and industry challenges.
