1. Scope and Applicability

The grievance mechanism of Gopinath PG College is open to:

  • • Students (current and former)
  • • Teaching and non-teaching staff
  • • Parents and guardians
  • • Alumni
  • • Visitors or collaborators with legitimate academic or administrative dealings

Grievances may relate to:

  • • Academic or examination-related concerns
  • • Administrative, infrastructural, or service issues
  • • Behavioral grievances or discipline matters
  • • Delays in services or procedural irregularities
  • • Suggestions for institutional improvement

2. Objectives of the Committee

4. Functions of the Committee

  • Receiving Complaints: Grievances or suggestions may be submitted via email, online portal, or written form.
  • Registration & Classification: Each complaint is logged, categorized, and assigned a reference number.
  • Urgency Review: Urgent cases are reviewed immediately; routine matters are taken up in scheduled meetings.
  • Hearing & Resolution: Both parties are given equal opportunity to present their views and recommendations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Records are maintained securely and reported quarterly.
  • Follow-up & Feedback: Complainants are informed of the resolution and may provide feedback.

Meeting Frequency: Every semester or as required.
Resolution Period: Within 30 working days from the date of receipt.
