1. Introduction

To promote informed educational and professional choices among students, the Career Counselling Cell of Gopinath P.G. College organised a structured Career Guidance Programme on 4 July 2025. The programme aimed at enhancing students’ awareness regarding higher education pathways, competitive examinations, skill development requirements, and emerging career fields.

2. Objectives of the Programme

• To provide personalised career guidance to students.
• To create awareness of higher studies and employment opportunities.
• To support students in planning their career based on interests and competencies.
• To encourage participation in internships and skill enhancement activities.

3. Programme Highlights

• Dr. Rishikesh Tiwari (Convener/Coordinator): Discussed the relevance of self-evaluation and realistic goal-setting in career planning.
• Mr. Saurav Verma (Faculty Member): Guided students on choosing appropriate academic streams and maintaining progress through consistent skill building.
• Mr. Saurabh Bhardwaj (Faculty Member): Spoke on career opportunities in public and private sectors and emphasized the importance of internships.
• Dr. Adish Srivastava (Faculty Member): Explained procedures for registering on employment/education portals and shared information on competitive exams and emerging career domains.
• Mr. Ravindra Sharma (Student Representative): Facilitated group discussions, student interaction, and feedback collection.

4. Outcome of the Session

• Students gained clarity on higher education choices and career options.
• Awareness increased regarding scholarships, competitive exams, and internships.
• Students received personalised guidance for skill development and career mapping.
• Improved confidence in selecting academic and professional pathways.
