1. Introduction

Gopinath PG College celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm and respect on 5 September 2025. The program honoured the contributions of teachers and reflected upon the deep-rooted teacher–student tradition that has shaped the Indian education system. The occasion also marked the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose ideals continue to inspire educators and learners across the nation.

2. Program Highlights

  • The celebration began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by College Patron Shri Rakesh Tiwari before the idol of Maa Saraswati, symbolizing knowledge and wisdom.
  • A cake-cutting ceremony was held before the statue of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan to honor his contributions to education.
  • Shri Rakesh Tiwari delivered an inspiring message on the Guru–Shishya tradition and the timeless importance of teachers in society.
  • Principal Dr. Sudha Tripathi highlighted the significance of the student–teacher relationship in India's academic culture.
  • Faculty member Aradhana Tripathi emphasized the institution’s commitment to ensuring a bright future for students.
  • The unique Student-Teacher Activity allowed students to conduct classes, gaining practical teaching experience and understanding instructional responsibility.
  • The event concluded with the felicitation of teachers, where College Patron Shri Rakesh Tiwari and Principal Dr. Sudha Tripathi honored faculty members with gifts.

3. Role of Supporting Clubs

  • Teacher Education & Pedagogy Club: Assisted in planning the Student-Teacher classroom activity, helping students prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
  • Leadership & Confidence Club: Coordinated anchoring, stage management, and supported students during teaching sessions to build confidence.
  • Literary & Expression Club: Facilitated speeches, creative presentations, reflections, and helped prepare program documentation and reporting.

4. Outcomes of the Event

  • Strengthened the teacher–student bond across the institution.
  • Developed leadership and instructional abilities among students.
  • Instilled respect, gratitude, and value-based learning.
