British Literary Traditions
Familiarise with British Literature and the process of gradual change in the literary scenario from the fourteenth century to the present age.
Linguistics & ELT
Understand speech mechanisms, classify vowels and consonants, and get acquainted with word accent, intonation, and language teaching and testing.
Indian & Women's Writing
Understand the richness and variety of Indian English Literature and relate to the styles and themes of Indian women writers.
American & Postcolonial Studies
Trace the history of post-colonial movements and study the literary development of American, African, Caribbean and SAARC literatures.
Research Methodology
Follow the conventions of research papers, understand the mechanics of research writing, and evaluate approaches used in literary research.
Gender, Discourse & Film Studies
Apply concepts of Discourse Analysis and Stylistics to literary texts, and engage critically with issues of gender, cinema and performance.
